THE ULTIMATE FISHING PACKAGE

TAILORED TO YOU

We take great pride in tailoring your fishing experience to suit your goals and requirements. We match you to one of our fantastic guides, all of whom have a long history fishing the crystal clear waters of the lower South Island, New Zealand.

The Glen Dene property is bound by Lake Hawea on the east and Lake Wanaka on the west. A short drive will deliver you to a number of prime fishing destinations.  As well as options close by, many of our fishermen enjoy a 4WD tour through stunning and unique scenery to arrive at backcountry rivers. For those seeking even more adventure, our heli fishing option allows either a remote drop out or a full day charter allowing you to fish further into the spectacular backcountry or the West Coast. All this from our base just 10 minutes from Wanaka.

We tailor packages to suit your needs and match you to one of our passionate fishing guides. We have options for fly fishing, drift fishing, lake fishing, heli fishing and of course, programs for non-fishers, keeping the rest of the family entertained with an exciting touring program.

Glen Dene is renowned for its red stag huntinghospitality, non-hunter programs and provides a range of comfortable accommodation options to suit.

Fish in paradise; this is sight fishing in its truest form. We fish the untouched, spectacular, crystal clear lakes and mountain streams right on the doorstep of the Glen Dene property. We cater for all levels and all anglers.

A float trip on the crystal clear waters of New Zealand’s South Island, fly or spin fishing from the raft as your drift. Your guide stops frequently allowing you to also wade from the shore. This trip offers the best of both worlds.

Situated between two of the most pristine lakes in New Zealand, you have the choice to fish either Lake Hawea or Lake Wanaka. Cruising and dishing from a 6.5m comfortable offers a fun and relaxing day on the water. The best bit is when we get to fillet and cook the fish we catch on board, using the boat’s portable BBQ.

Chartering a helicopter allows you to go deep into some of the most remote backcountry rivers, explore Fiordland or Milford South or head up to the West Coast of New Zealand’s south island. Views of the Southern Alps, glaciers, lakes and valleys below will take your breath away. This is ideal for groups with multiple landing points and a gourmet picnic provided.

We’re renowned for our hospitality and non-hunter programs too. We love designing touring programs for non-hunters and the wider family while the other-half is fishing.  From relaxing winery tours and visits to nearby villages to extreme sports and activities, we can help you make the most of your time in the South Island of New Zealand.

We’ve been fishing the lakes, rivers and tributaries of our area and beyond for years. We love introducing people to our favourite spots and sharing this unique landscape with them. Check out our gallery to get an idea of the amazing places we go, and the fishing adventures we can have.
