Rob Roy Glacier
One of the many walks in the World Heritage Mt. Aspiring National Park is the Rob Roy Glacier. We advise anyone interested in these and other alpine excursions to obtain full information packs from the local Department of Conservation prior to departing. All Alpine excursions require a good level of fitness and hikers must ensure they are suitably equipped to be able to safely enjoy hiking in the Southern Alps. Good quality outdoor clothing suitable for changeable alpine conditions must be worn. The Rob Roy Glacier is a half-day return hike from Raspberry Creek car park in the West Matukituki Valley to the sub alpine herb fields of the Rob Roy Valley.
