“Hi Richard and Sarah,

Thank you again so much for your hospitality. It was truly a pleasure to meet you and spend time with you. Thank you for sharing your amazing property.

We have been fortunate since our return to Kodiak to have sunny skies … an unprecedented number of sunny days in a row. The gray whale migration is going on now, and today we saw 100 or more of them in the bay. Quite a site to see.

Robin talked to several of our friends about hunting at Glen Dene. One of them wants us to hunt with him in 2014. They are anxiously waiting for me to upload our hunting photos so they can see them. (Only I’ve been working since I got back and am behind on all the “fun” things!) Robin is interested in setting up something w/ Darrell and will be in touch with him, too. Thank you for sharing his information and email.”

“Hallo Richard,

We’ve had a wonderful experience in New Zealand. Jerry and Lesley were extraordinary hosts who made us feel very welcome. Tony was an exceptional guide who shepherded Jon so as to provide a memorable experience that exceeded all expectations. Would most definitely contact you if and when back in New Zealand. Jon would probably move in if given the opportunity! Thank you to you all, we’ve made beautiful memories.

Kind regards

We made it back and immediately were immersed in all the job duties we left behind. I finally have a couple minutes this weekend to let you know how much we appreciate the opportunity to have hunted on Glen Dene. You have an amazing property and life-style. If you ever need to employ a biologist let me know :-)

Say Hi to Sarah, your folks, and the little ones. If you ever get to the states, especially Oregon, make sure to let us know. You are always welcome at our home. Thank you again for the great trophies and the life-long memories.”

Nathan Flook and his red stag

Just wanted to give a big thanks to you and your family for the great hospitality and memorable week of hunting at Glen Dene Station. I had been looking forward to my trip for over a year and it certainly did not disappoint. The views from atop Heartbreak Hill and across the lake are fantastic. The opportunity to pursue Tahr was a unique experience and to tag such a quality Bull was just incredible. Hard to believe that was to be surpassed just a couple days later with the spotting and lengthy stalk of my Red Stag. A special mention for my guide Tony, who worked tirelessly to put me on both the Tahr and Stag, and went out of his way to ensure that I had the New Zealand hunting experience that I had envisioned. Can’t wait until I get the mounts back to the U.S., although the memories of both hunts will certainly last a lifetime.

Many thanks and best regards.”
